The Players of 2009/10 : Moses Swaibu
By Nathan Jackson

Moses Swaibu has had a frustrating season since Sutton's appointment as manager. The young defender had played every single minute of football before Sutton's first match on October 3rd, but spent a lot of time of time out of the first team before a return after the turn of the year.

Swaibu enjoyed his first realistic run of first team football this season at the beginning of the season and was one of the few players to be an ever present.....that was until Chris Sutton took over.
Sutton's first taste of the Imps defence was the 3-0 home defeat to Notts County and he must have been unimpressed with Swaibu as the defender was dropped for the following game. Sutton brought in several defenders and Swaibu's first team appearances were stricted to the bench for some time.
He finally came back into the first team due to injuries and seemingly did everything he could to impress the manager, however, it wouldn't be long before he received his first career red card. Adam Le Fondre breezed past him, and with a set of legs more fragile than the emotions of someone who owns a collection of Princess Diana plates, the striker suddenly went down and Swaibu got sent off. He would also get off again later in the season.
Moses had a mixed season and although I think he is a good defender, I don't think he's good enough to stay in the first team once Watts returns from injury and any potential Sutton signings for next season.
