Imps beat Scunthorpe to progress in Senior Cup

Lincoln City beat a young Scunthorpe side to progress to the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup.

A Waide Fairhurst double was enough to give the Imps a victory that will now see City face either Gainsborough or Boston United in the final, although a date for the final is currently unknown.

With the season kick off next week, the regularity in which the strikers are scoring goals will leave Gary Simpson with a selection headache ahead of that game with Woking

Lincoln's final first team friendly will be against Boston United on Saturday afternoon.
