Former Imp joins Macclesfield

Macclesfield continued their fine tradition of bringing in former Lincoln players by signing Paul Turnbull following his release from Northampton.

Turnball was released by Northampton after being allowed to spend the latter part of last season on loan at the Imps. He was largely anonymous in his time at Sincil Bank, often taking quite some time before touching the ball. Despite this non-involvement in most matches, he impressed enough on trial at Macclesfield to earn a new contract.

He joined an ever growing mass of players to join Macclesfield after a spell with the Imps, with Nat Brown, Martin Gritton, Ben Wright, Marvin Robinson, Kevin Sandwith, Mark Bailey, Hamza Bencherif, Francis Green, Simon Yeo and Richard Butcher, as well management duo Keith Alexander and Gary Simpson, all having spells at Macclesfield after leaving Sincil Bank.
