West Brom's former Imp worth £1.99, as is Cristiano Ronaldo

West Bromwich Albion's former Imp Gareth McAuley is worth £1.99, the same as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and many other of the world's top players, but it's not what you would expect......
McAuley signed for the Imps in 2004 after being discovered in Northern Irish football by Keith Alexander. He formed part of a solid defence with players such as Paul Morgan, Ben Futcher and Jamie McCombe, and near enough single handedly saw the Imps through the semi finals of the 2004/5 Playoffs. Infact, he holds the current distinction of being the last player to score a winning goal in a Playoff match for the Imps as his early header gave the Imps the lead over Macclesfield Town.
He left the Imps in 2006 following two successful seasons at Sincil Bank. He has since played for Leicester City, Ipswich Town and now represents West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League. He is one of a very select group of former Lincoln players to have played at that level after leaving the Imps.
Gareth has represented his country but all of that pales into insignificance now that he has been immortalised as a toy.
Mini-figurines of players have been around for a long time and in their updated section for this season, SoccerStarz have included McAuley as part of the West Brom selection, and it is surprisingly realistic.
Amongst many other players available, there is Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Robin Van Persie and many other world class players. There are also some Liverpool players available.
