Defender Newton gives Imps victory over Boston

New signing Sean Newton has already made himself popular with the fans after scoring a winnin goal against Boston United. It was however described as a terrible game by all those who attended.

With chances seemingly few and far between, a draw against Skrill North side Boston wouldn't have been an awful result, however, a later Sean Newton goal gave City a win in their final match of the pre-season.

It means that the Imps go into the new season with a positive run of results in the pre-season, which has included wins Middlesbrough and Scunthorpe United.
