Playoff fever has taken over in Chesire as a Macclesfield selling frenzy has taken place. Lincoln City sent the Silkmen 1,500 tickets for the game, the absolute minimum we had to send and the suprise package of the season have sold a shocking 148 tickets.
Many people weren't expecting the side from Chesire to bring many fans due to their average attendance of just over 2,000, by far the smallest in the football league but they are quickly heading for the lowest ever amount of away supporters at a playoff game - EVER.
Macclesfield Town obviously aren't famous for their crowds but considering Macclesfield is only 83 miles away from Lincoln and it's a playoff game, on a Saturday evening, makes the lack of sales even more shocking.
On the other hand, Lincoln fans are well on the way to selling out the Lincoln ends of the ground as the tickets went on general sale this morning. Ticket sales are already believed to be approaching the 6,000 mark with queues stretching down Scorer Street.
