SO, IT'S BEEN JUST OVER 2 MONTHS SINCE YOU FIRST INTERVIEWED WITH US, HOW HAVE THINGS BEEN FOR THE SHRIMPS SINCE THEN?

Things were good until we went to the Millenium Stadium but after that, we were shockingly poor and rightfully lost the automatic promotion spot we'd earnt in the few months or so prior to the game against Wrexham.

OVER THE WHOLE SEASON, DO YOU THINK YOU DESERVE PROMOTION?

Honestly, no. Although our League position means that we have a great chance of gaining it, we don't really deserve it. Every seems to have forgotten the first few months of the season where we were woeful and should never have gotten anywhere near the promotion places. However, the arrival of a certain Mr Eastwood made us start playing better. Based on the second half of the season, we definatly deserve it as no team was more in form than us after Christmas but based on the first half, no.

YOU WERE AT BOTH GAMES BETWEEN THE TEAMS THIS SEASON, HOW DO YOU RECKON YOU DID AGAINST LINCOLN?

Not very well. Neither our goals should have counted because neither of the "fouls" was worthy of a penalty. You should have easily beaten us at Sincil Bank, however, a draw was a fair result at Roots Hall although neither really deserved to score.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS THIS SEASON?

Freddy Eastwood, it was no real coincedence that our run of all those games unbeaten came after we signed him. Granted the rest of the team have done fairly well for the majority of the season but had we not signed Freddy, we wouldn't be preparing to go to Cardiff on Saturday.

GOING BACK TO A FEW MONTHS AGO, YOU LOST AT CARDIFF TO WREXHAM, DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN MAKE IT 3RD TIME LUCKY IN THE MILLENIUM STADIUM?

Well we can always hope. Honestly I don't know. It'd be nice to see us actually not lose there for once. I am quietly confident of getting the win but I'm not the average Southend fan that counts chicken's before they're hatched.
