Imps boss Keith Alexander has spoken to Scott Kerr about the possibility of moving to Sincil Bank. The Scarborough captain, who is out of contract in a few months, captained England Semi-Pros to victory in the Four Nations but now wants a move away from the McCain Stadium.

City are not the only team interested in securing his services as newly promoted Barnet have also been in discussions with Kerr. However, Kerr would move with a compensation package due to his age.

Speaking about a move to Barnet to again work with Paul Baraclough, Kerr said, "I've enjoyed playing under Paul for England and have discussed a move to Barnet with him. I have spoken to Keith Alexander at Lincoln as well, but nothing is imminent because the terms discussed haven't been quite right.

"I'm keeping my options open as to which club I move to, but I definitely feel the time is right to move to a League club and I'll be looking to get myself a move before the start of pre-season,"

So far this summer, City have only signed Hucknall striker, Danny Bacon despite being linked with seveal other players.
