Gary Birch has signed for the Imps on a 1 year deal and adds to the current crop of strikers with a poor goalscoring record at Sincil Bank. Birch has scored 18 goals in his career after spells with Walsall, Nuneaton, Exeter, Barnsley and KIdderminster

Birch is the latest signing that Keith has added and our striking force looks less convincing each week. Bacon has only scored 5 league goals, Asamoah 18 and Green hasn't got many more, meaning, that with the purchase of Birch, the 4 main strikers at the club, despite playing around 500 league games between them, have only scored around 60 league goals between them.

Birch has signed a one year deal with the Imps and will be looking to force his way into the first team.
