Mass exodus continues

If Keith Alexander if reading this, I hope he's actually planning on replacing some of the players soon. Kevin Sandwith has become the latest to leave the club, leaving just 4 first team regulars at the club, with very few replacements signed.
Sandwith has agreed to join Macclesfield Town, the club City beat to get the playoff final. This leaves just Alan Marriott, Paul Morgan, Jamie McCombe and Gareth McAuley as the remaining regular first teamers. City's situation is so desperate, that the 5 strikers we have on the books at the minute, have played nearly 400 league games between them, but have yet to pass the 40 goal mark, COMBINED. City also only have one midfielder, 19 year old, Lee Frecklington.
I for one hope Keith is happy, he doesn't bother waiting to see who's staying before releasing a load of players, he releases all the back up players we have for certain positions and then the first choice player in the position goes to another club.
Sandwith joins Macclesfield after little more than a year with City after joining from Halifax Town and joins Ben Futcher, Richard Butcher, Peter Gain and Simon Yeo as players who have rejected the Imps' offer of a new contract. Although we wish Kev the best of luck at Macclesfield, most fans will be annoyed that Keith has only brought in 3 players so far this summer, meaning that we only have 7 players confirmed first team players, everyone else under contract is on the youth team.
This is just getting ridiculous. Erm, I look forward to going to Grays, York, Morecambe and every other team in the conference in 2006/7.
