Johnson wanted £10,000 a week

The Echo has revealed that, just like theimps.tk reported, the Imps made a bid for David Johnson. The news of David Johnson being offered a contract, was an theimps.tk exclusive back in May and it has been revealed that the striker won't be coming to Sincil Bank after all.

On May 9th, we exclusively reported that David Johnson has been offered a contract by the Imps and over 6 weeks later, there has been confirmation of David Johnson's rejection of the contract.

Johnson (30), wanted £10,000 a week to come and play for the Imps and it has proved a common theme today with the signings of Gregg Blundell (Fee) and Bruce Dyer (wages) falling though.

Obviously these are disappointing turn outs but we'll bring you news as and when the Imps sign players.
