Cov Win Again!

A Lucas Jutkiewicz goal from an excellent Cyrus Christie cross was enough to give Coventry City only their second win of the season.

New Forest boss Steve Cotterill, watching on from the stands, would have been forgiven for already walking out on the job, with his new side giving a woeful display. 

That said, any side that includes: Camp, McGugan, Greening, Miller, Tudgay, and Derbyshire, and has Boateng, Reid and assorted others to call on, shouldn't exactly be struggling. 

The first half was as dull as football gets, with Thorn's team-talk possibly being to tell his Coventry City side they only had to show the slightest interest to win this fixture! 

Camp pulled off two top quality saves to deny Coventry City in the second half, though it was only a matter of seconds after his first that Jutkiewicz scored the games only goal. The same player was unlucky not to add a second soon after, seeing his effort cleared off the line. 

Coventry keeper Murphy required extensive treatment and was stretchered from the pitch after being landed on by Miller, after stopping an effort on goal. His injury saw ten minutes of injury time added (Just what a Coventry City side so fond of conceding in injury time needed!). 

Defensively, Coventry City were rarely troubled, and looked better for having the Richard Wood we thought we had signed all those years ago back in defence, while Clive Platt also put in a decent display in his first start this season.
