Derby have been hit with the news that midfielder Craig Burley is ready to quit Pride Park.

Craig Burley has dropped a bombshell by announcing he ready to quit Pride Park and look elsewhere.

The midfielder has been out injuried for a year but made a return Monday night in there 3-2 win against Wimbledon , but with the financial situation at Derby he feels this might be a good time to leave the club.

Craig Burley spoke about his decision and said "I'm ready to play Norwich on Saturday but my agent has been talking to County over the last few days about my contract being terminated.
"Derby are in big financial trouble, so they need to get their higher earners off the wage bill.

"I'll get a free transfer and that means I could move whenever I wanted to." said Burley

Burley has been a great player over the years and there will be people knocking on his agents door to speak to him when he decides to quit.
