Macca confirmed as boss

The ever popular McAllister will join up with the Sky Blues at the end of the campaign as player-boss but will stay with his current club, Liverpool, until the end of the Premiership season.

"McAllister spent 4 season at Highfield Road before moving to Anfield in 2000. Whilst there he helped Liverpool to their historic treble. This season the popular Scotsman has struggled to hold down a first team place thanks to the form of Danny Murphy, Steven Gerrard and Dieter Hamman.

"Coventry chairman, Mike McGinnity was forced to admit that McAllister would recieve no funds to boost the Sky Blues squad "There is no money available and Gary knows the situation".

"McAllister is yet to announce who his assistant will be. Eric Black is hot favourite following his departure from Motherwell this morning.
