Millwall prsident, Reg Burr, has said he will ban the hooligans for life. Speaking to Radio 5 Live he said "I can assure you we will do anything we can do identify any troublemakers and the appropraite action will be taken - we will ban them for life". The rioters clashed with police in an attempt to reach the Birmingham fans. Up to 50 police officers were injured in the battles as bricks, fireworks, paving stones and fireworks were used as missiles. Today the aftermath has been seen on a national stage with the area destroyed by the rioters. Once again not just Millwall, but the game of Football has been tarnished. |
