Russell rejects new deal

Norwich's Darel Russell has rejected the clubs offer of a 1 year contract which could see his stay at Carrow Road come to an end.

Russell was earlier offered a 3 year deal on improved terms which he also turned down and will now go onto a a week-to-week contract.

Russell is under 24 so any move will mean that Norwich will be able to claim a tribunial fee.

Speaking to the clubs official site Worthington told of the happenings.

"Darel has now rejected two offers from the club to extend his contract.

"He had earlier turned down an offer to extend his contract by three years on very substantially increased terms. We will now listen to offers for the player."
