News Round up

I havn't been able to get much news going over the last few days and normal service will resume as soon as possible. Please bear with me. In the meantime heres a round up of the news over the last few days.

Sheffield United keeper Simon Tracy may miss the start of the new season after a knee operation. Boss Neil Warnock has told Tracy, along with Michael Brown, Phil Jajielka, Carl Asaba, Paul Peschisolido and Shane Nicholson, to report early for pre-season training following injuries.

Sheffield Wednesday are believed to be leading the race to sign Scott Wilson after the defender was released by Rangers. Wilson was on loan at Portsmouth last season but rejected their offer to sign permanently. The Owls are also look to be leading the chase to sign Bristol City's out of contract striker Tony Thorpe.

Phil Mulryne has signed a new 3 year deal with Norwich City. The midfielder was out of contract at the end of last season but the clubs late charge into the play-offs convinced him to stay at Carrow Road.

Coventry boss Gary McAllister revealed that he thinks a good performance in the World Cup for Magnus Hedman will hasten his departure from Highfield Road.

Portsmouth are set to offer a trial to Vitoria Setubal keeper Nuno Campos.
