Sedgewick offered extension

Rotherham have offered a contract extension to talented winger Chris Sedgewick.

The 22-year-old played a huge part in The Millers successful survival bid last season and caught the eye of numerous scouts visiting Millmoor. Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is well aware of this and is keen to keep his young star and has offered him a 3 year extension, which if accepted would keep Sedgewick under contract till 2005.

Assistant Manager John Breckin told the clubs official site of how important Sedgewick is to the club.

"Chris is one of those players we would like to build our future around. He has shown what a good player he is and now he is anxious to pledge his future to the club.

"He has told us how happy he is at Millmoor and it could well be that he will sign a new deal which will keep him here for another three seasons."
