Morrison deal stalls

The proposed move of Clinton Morrison from Crystal Palace to Birmingham has stalled after Andy Johnson failed to agree personal terms with Palace. Confused? Read on.......

Birmingham boss Steve Bruce has had Morrison in his sights ever since he left Palace for Birmingham. However Palace, until know, have refused to play ball insisting that Morrison was staying at Palace.

One of the main reasons that Palace agreed to the deal was the part exchange of Andy Johnson offered by The Blues. In Johnson, Palace would have a ready made replacement for Morrison.

The deal of Andy Johnson + £3million for Morrison looked a done deal until Johnson rejected the terms offered by Palace. Johnson is keen to move to find first team football but was not impressed by the offer Palace made.

It is know thought that Palace will attempt to offer new terms to Johnson.
