Hedman wants to join Celtic

Coventry keeper Magnus Hedman looks set to sign for Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic.

The Sweedish international keeper has long been linked with a move away from Highfield Road although it was initially thought that a move to Spain was on the cards.

Celtic have now emerged as favourites for Hedman's signature with the keeper holding talks with the Scottish giants on Monday.

Coventry and Hedman are keen to part ways, Hedman wants top-flight football whilst Coventry want the transfer-fee.

Speaking to the News of the World Coventry boss Gary McAllister confirmed that Hedman is to have talks with Celtic. "Magnus is going to speak to Celtic on Monday morning. All things being equal, I'd expect the deal to go through."
