North-London mega side Tottenham Hotspur will not be signing, Newcastle United target, Thomas Gravesen. The Danish midfielder is close to a move away from Real Madrid, after his training ground bust up with Brazilian wonderkid Robinho, last week.

Gravesen told Danish paper Daily Knackebrød that he doesn't want to play for Spurs because of his allergy of potatoes. He also stated that when Newcastle United came in he had no hesitation to snub Spurs and start talks with the North-East club.

The tenacious midfielder is just one of the many players who rejected Spurs in favour of Newcastle United over the past few years. Belozoglu Emre, Scott Parker and Damien Duff are just a few of the others who did the same in the past.

Today, we can also reveal that Marseille midfielder Franck Ribery is a non-starter.

The energetic midfielder has no desire to join Spurs and said he would rather join, Spurs rivals, Portsmouth or Wigan.
