Barça defender joins YB Bern

24 old Brazilian Tiago Calvano has signed a 3 year contract with Swiss side Bern. Calvano, who has an Italian passport, should strengthen the inner defence of the Young boys.

This big coup is a further step in Berns attempt to seriously challenge Swiss champion FC Basel in the next season.

Berns brand-new "Stade de Suisse", a 32`000 all-seater which was also built for the Euro 2008, will be ready for next season and allows them to spend more money than ever.


Allegedly, they were also after Swiss star Hakan Hakin, who never became happy in Stuttgart (now on loan for Galatasaray) and who could meanwhile be ready to play again in Switzerland!
