Celtic land Japanese star

Reggina have agreed terms with Celtic over the transfer of Japanese international midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura stating: "We have reached an agreement with Celtic Football Club for the transfer of Nakamura."

Gordon Strachan will be over the moon at landing him, judging by his comments yesterday:

"I haven't spoken to him personally but the club sells itself. Everywhere you go people know about Celtic.

"I have done a lot of homework and have spoken to people who have worked with him all over the place so I know what he's like.

"He also starred against Brazil and was Man of the Match so from that you can say he's not bad."

He has played in Italy for three seasons having joined Reggina from Yokohama Marinos, during that time he has played 80 games and scored 11 goals.
