Arsenal V Barcelona Preview.

I usually don’t make much of an effort to do match previews as good as the internet may or may not be, it’s lousy when it comes to pre-match banter.

Still it’s the biggest match of the year so far and even jaded southern loathing Geordies like myself have a bit to get excited about.

There is arguably the best three strikers of 3 continents on display tonight, with Henry representing Europe, Eto’o Africa and Ronaldinho South America.

It is of course on Henry and Ronaldinho that much of the build up as been centred, and given there respective talents rightly so. But both defences have been pretty stingy and in my opinion we are not about to get a free scoring match, in fact I fancy a win by just the odd goal.

It has been an indifferent season for Arsenal, only 4th in the league and that a tenuous grasp at fourth only granted on the last day, when there near neighbours Spurs, succumbed to some dodgy pasta.

Barcelona on the other hand have had another season of glory, securing La-Liga and beating off fierce rivals Madrid in the process.

They also have arguably the best young talent in the world in Messi, although whether he will feature much tonight is still debatable.

For me a Barcelona win 1-0, but it would not entirely amaze me to see penalties.
