Burnley registered their third consecutive goalless draw as points were once again shared at Turf Moor.The Clarets got off to a fast-paced start and also finished the game on a strong note, but were unable to find the breakthrough despite a host of chances against a Sunderland team also still looking for their first league win of the season.

And best chances came right at the end with substitute Ashley Barnes and Patrick van Aanholt both hitting the woodwork! George Boyd was handed his Turf Moor debut as Sean Dyche made just one alteration to the side that drew at Crystal Palace last weekend. Marvin Sordell replaced the injured Danny Ings up front and Burnley were out of their blocks immediately Wes Brown had to stretch to clear Boyd’s inviting ball across the face of goal behind for a corner with just seconds on the clock. Sadly we just don't have the cutting edge we had last year, obviously the higher level and the partnership of Vokes and Ings not there.

That will actually do for me. Don't care if we go down as long as we put up a better effort than last time around when we just bent over once Coyle up and left.
I said near the end it's just like watching us last year in the Championship..... but without the goals.
