Burnley spurned a two-goal lead for the second time in four days as Palace came from behind to snatch victory at a wintry Turf Moor.

The Clarets had the perfect start for the second time in a week, racing into a two-goal lead inside 16 minutes through Ben Mee’s first Premier League goal and Danny Ings’ seventh of the season.

Trippier and Shackell doubtful, assume that's a back 4 of Reid, Duff, Keane, Mee then, which is a tad worrying.

We can always hope the game is called off??!!?? Personally, it would be a bit of a blow coming all this way and missing it.
I'd go with Reid, Keane, Mee, Lafferty IF Shacks and Tripps are out, not certain that they are out yet. Hell, we could even think about Arfield at right back with Kightly or Boyd in front of him. I remember when Peter Noble first came to the club and we played him at right back - a revelation he was, worth a punt?

I would think Peter Noble is worth a punt instead of Reid at right-back, he's probably still quicker.

when 2 square, Burnley needed to get it together Quick, they didn't, it was back to hoof and hope, but even then, Palace didn't shine. We'd shut off, forgot the basics, so it was anyones game, was on luck, and was Palaces, but nobodys game. Watch MotD tonight and i'' bet it's all Pardew and Palace. Who was it that said, something like, " it's not that they played well, just that we played crap " .
Another Game when we should easily have taken all the points.

Can't be arsed with game ratings but SD gets a 0 today. He has built up enough credit to have a Season or zero's so he's ok but that 0 is directly from him coming away from his values and deciding, openly, that he wanted to lose a footba match on Wednesday. Didn't think he was weak minded but he showed signs of that midweek and I hope it's not the start of him just trying to fit in and be like everyone else at this level.
Ive not been online since Wednesday afternoon cause I was that @#$%& @#$%& off at Dyche. As soon as I saw we had dropped our 4 forwards on Wednesday I told my Dad "we've lost here, and as a result of that we will lose on Saturday too, leading it to it being another month or so before we build some momentum again".

2-0 up after 8 eight minutes at Spurs with 2 enforced defensive changes and that is evidence that SD decided he wanted to lose a game? I am surprised they didn't find you sitting next to Beagle 2 on Mars Manhug.
Awful kick in the guts losing today, the game is on TV here in a -couple of hours = I'll be tempted to turn it off at the 86th minute. Thank goodness so many of our rivals lost.

He dropped Ings, Barnes, Arfield and Boyd (I.e. our first choice front 4 who start every game).
As I said, I heard the idiotic team decision about 7pm on Wedneday and instantly said well that's us losing within 90 today and losing at the weekend on the back of it.
It happened.
Lost interest now for a bit anyway, couldn't really give a @#$%& today, wasn't arsed at full time. Usually I would have screamed blue murder at that happening today but I was just like "oh whatever":
Won't be on here much for a while anyway, sacking focus on football off for a bit now we've nothing to play for. Gonna concentrate on work and training a bit more and got a trip to Berlin in February to look forward too.
Gonna go the Everton away game at the end of April for the day out, hopefully from then onwards were in a battle all the way (not safe or relegated by May) until the last game. Will enjoy that last 4 weeks of the Season then :-)

Dyche is a manager, the clue's in the name, you manage your resources as best you can, but it doesn't mean you'll win every game. I do share his disappointment though, I'm not one for leaving early but I'd no intention of watching us finish that game, I was gone before injury time. And I've had just about enough of watching Arfield pretending to be a footballer. Dyche loves him, he must be doing something right down Gawthorpe, and he's a trier, but how he gets in before Kightly I've no idea, and I'm not a big fan of Keira.

On a different subject both the first and third goals a ball watching weakness on the right hand side of the defence. Tripps for the first and Keane the last leaving tripps to mark 2 men on his side. SD will not be happy to ship 7 goals in 2 games.

macwhatshisname showed manhug up, was everywhere today, that's why you need a squad, jedinak, there captain and best player is away and they can bring someone in of equal quality, we can't.
Also our rigid 442 that you love killed us today, pardew changed it at 2-0 down and went 451, we couldn't cope with it and don't have options to change it.

Our smugness at playing the same starting XI for so many games might dissipate now. There's a reason for squads and we need to have a handful more of players who we can rotate as needed.

Pardew had Dyche on toast for the 2nd time this season. He made changes to influence the game, Dyche didn't.

I've no idea what the stats say soapy, I don't need them to count the number of times we lose possession when he gets it, it's just more often than not. Like I said he's a trier, he chases everything and that's how he managed to lay on a chance for Ings. Sadly in the PL that'll bring you a goal perhaps two or three times a season and that's not enough. Maybe you have to watch a game live for 90 minutes to be aware of just how poor he is, I accept that if you just watched MOD for the last two Saturdays you'd think he was a world beater, in reality, currently he's a liability.
Oh and don't bother reminding me about the 'Sanchez' type goal last week and those two nutmegs, I'm not saying he got lucky, but those are the only two times he's got the ball past a defender in the last three months, and I'm not joking, I'm serious. It was a good finish though, I'll give you that.

On Dyche not changing it - using which players exactly, we don't really have the personnel for 4 5 1 or indeed 4 3 3 - of course had we signed another decent CM ...
I couldn't go on so had to give my ticket to my son but watching on highlights I have to say we looked 'leggy' I think the international break has come at a great time - just hope SD can do whatever business he wants to quickly and shores up the squad - we can definitely still do this.

Drop Ings deeper to combat it.
All possibilities to stop us getting mullered in midfield.
Like when Pardew put an extra man in there for Newcastle Dyche simply did not react at all and paid the price.

I certainly agree on Ings - in fact I thought our up turn in form coincided with Ings playing slightly deeper

I thought their first came from our left side, Arfield and Mee getting themselves tangled up and allowing a cross in that shouldn't have happened. The second was down to Marney, a panicky clearance gave the ball away, and then he didn't get even close to Puncheon, allowing him to get a shot off that he never should have. Third one down to Keane, probably inexperience, but he came inside leaving Murray, Trippier then had to come inside to cover Murray, leaving the space behind for Gayle to exploit.
Keane's very promising but still learning, he's always liable to make mistakes and at this level you'll get punished. I'm not knocking him, we should have signed an experienced CH to support Shackell, instead we have Shackell babysitting a novice, not ideal, he'll make a top CH but it'll take time, he's not there yet.

Keane's very promising but still learning, he's always liable to make mistakes and at this level you'll get punished. We will come back after the break raring to go - and I don't think many/any will be away with the national sides? Unless there's some under 21 stuff?

They looked tired to me LS, there's supposed to have been a bug going round, maybe that affected some of them, maybe the number of games caught up with them, maybe mentally as much as physically. They're under constant pressure to perform agains players who they know are mostly more talented, can't be easy.

We are only where we are because they have to perform at 110% in every game.
Only two of them are genuine prem players, maybe three.
So any reduction of work ethic, running, etc and any reduction of that 110% will have consequences as it did agin Palace.
There is no way they can perform game after game at this intensity. The cup game in mid week was a damned nuisance.

they all looked jigged on Saturday. Hopefully this break will sort two problems out. 1. Give the players a hard earned breather, and 2. cool the bloody pies down. My peppered Steak was hotter than a vindaloo!

You'll have to get there earlier Morty, before the pies have got over-heated as they do. I reckon 14.20-14.30 is the optimum time, just right around then.
Anyway I've no sympathy, I'm on an enforced diet, not allowed pies, haven't had one in weeks.

Don't talk to me about diet. I've got high blood pressure but absolutely spot on cholesterol and all other readings - in other words no reason they can identify! Suffice to say I'm eating tonnes of fruit and veg, exercising and pretending to take the doctors tablets
