Building an online clarets community.

As those long summer months begin, when the season is over - us clarets need something to do, people to chat with, rumours to feed our imaginations! This summer the Longside hopes to bring you all this and more!

Here are just some of the things we hope to bring you this summer:

- All the latest news regarding any new manager, plus indepth analysis regarding the new man.

- All the latest on player moves in and out - can we get together a squad to mount a really good campaign next season?

- More features to allow you the fan to get involved with our site:

* You vote on Stan Ternent's best ever 11 - with the Longside!

* Clarets writing about their own support and memories of the club - become a writer!

* The launch of the Longsider independent research group to develop plans and discuss the big issues facing the club e.g. How to extend club marketing and improve club/fan relations.

* A new columnist joining the Longside!

- Finally we want to really get our messageboard developed and build a flourishing community. We believe our messageboard can be the best Burnley FC one on the internet with a little time and effort. Freedom of speech, different opinions, different fans will be allowed to speak and their comments respected. So please get both posting and replying and we will slowly build up a great online community.
