Shef Wed (0) 2 Derby County (1) 1
Sheffield Wednesday manager Paul Sturrock was pleased with the way his side came from behind.
"They're the best team who've come here," he said. "We played too deep in the first half and they battered us. It could have been over at half-time, but we responded and all of a sudden we were winning the ball."
The visitors had a 1-0 lead at the break following a goal from Marcus Tudgay, but Chris Brunt and David Graham scored in the space of four minutes to give Wednesday victory.
The Wednesday manager heaped praise on goalkeeper Nicky Weaver, making his debut on loan from Manchester City. "He has done a fantastic job, making three or four quality saves," said Sturrock.
Tudgay put Derby in front with a near-post header. Brunt equalised on 69 minutes when he bundled the ball home from close range, and the unmarked Graham fired confidently past Lee Camp.

| Morten Bisgaard said Saturday's 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday had left him at his lowest-ever point since joining Derby County last summer. The Rams players were left dumbstruck after seeing what appeared an almost certain victory snatched away from them at Hillsborough. Up until Chris Brunt's equaliser in the 69th-minute, Paul Sturrock's side had been second-best in almost every department. But Derby again lacked the killer instinct, missing a number of chances to increase the first-half advantage they had established through Marcus Tudgay's 41st-minute header. Bisgaard, who was replaced by Paul Peschisolido in the 75th minute, two minutes after David Graham had put Wednesday 2-1 ahead, was almost lost for words after the game. "This is definitely the lowest I've felt since I've joined Derby," he said. "I never imagined I would feel this low and being taken off when we were 2-1 down isn't a good feeling and was disappointing. "We felt completely in control throughout the game and I really don't know what to say because they got two goals out of nothing and we're left with no points again. "Everybody is left looking for answers. It must be 15 times this season that we should have won and we've ended up drawing or losing. "I don't think anyone can say it was a case of complacency at all because we were aggressive from the start and didn't give them any time on the ball." Bisgaard admitted the Rams' League position of 19th was becoming a concern but believed the players were capable of turning things round. "Obviously we're concerned because we're in relegation form at the moment," he added. "We're closer to the bottom three than the top six so obviously we've got to be thinking about that. "But all we can do is concentrate on getting the win, no matter how. I'm sure it will come - it's just that we thought that was going to be on Saturday." |
