Champions League Draw it’s the Russians

Arsenal head Group G and the first team drawn for Group G was FC Porto. Mourinho's old club and CL winners. The next club Arsenal drew was CSKA Moscow – a club that has been associated with Roman Abramovitch.

This makes it a tough draw, as Arsenal never enjoy travelling to the cold of Moscow. The last team for the group is Hamburg, another tough call as they have recently invested in top class players.

Group G Arsenal, Porto, CSKA Moscow and Hamburg. It’s a tough draw with plenty of travel. But at least they are not in the group of death with Barca, Chavski and Werder Bremen.

Awards

Three Arsenal players were nominated for the UEFA CL players of the year. Goalkeeping, Lehmann, Defender Eboue, and Striker Henry.

Lehmann emerged as sole winner for the Gunners.
