The Truth on Thierry Henry walk out

Thierry Henry has given a press conference to deny stories that he had a bust up with Wenger after being told he could not play against Spurs. He says there is no truth in that claim.

However he did leave the training ground upset, not because he had a row with Wenger, but because he learnt that he will be out for several games. He has been told to rest until his injury clears. He went on to say that he has being playing through an injury all season, that this has affected his form.

Wenger has spoken to Henry and they have agreed its best if he rests until truly fit. Wenger cannot put a time limit on it, but believes it will be short term. Henry says he played with the injury because he thought it would help the team, but now realises that was the wrong way to go about it.

Those who saw Henry at the Emirates saw a captain urging his team on from the bench. When Adebayor scored he celebrated enthusiastically, and Ade appeared to dedicate the goal to Henry.

After the game Henry celebrated with the team on the pitch – evidence that Henry is happy at Arsenal and that the press are trying to cause dissent. Now that the truth has come out on Henry’s injury maybe that small minority of fans who have got on his back will get off it.
