Wenger’s misery week continues – as pipped at post

Even though he was 6 to 5 favourite Wenger was pipped at the post for the 3:30 at Plumpton today. The winning horse was Ballyrainey from Ireland; the name is ancient Celt for Manchester.

Wenger’s trainer said the favourite had been worn down by too many Cup chases.
