Wild Celebrations - Emirates not to be demolished
Celebration

Surprised Highbury residents saw an ecstatic Arsene Wenger and David Dein lead the whole of the Arsenal squad in a conga down Avenell Road. The usually cool Bergkamp performed wheelies on his kid’s retro BMX bike.
The normally urbane Dein said they were celebrating the announcement of the last minute reprieve for the new stadium made in the High Court today. It has been awful said Dein with the shadow of the wrecking ball hanging over the new stadium. The thought of all that high speed building work being undone did not bear thinking about. And what would Arsenal fans (and sussed trainspotters Ed) watch while at work, with the stadium video cam switched off?
Even worse chimed in Arsene we couldn’t remember where Patrick had put the time capsule (not the only thing he has misplaced this season Ed). But its such a relief added Dein as it means we can let Arsene spend a couple of million pounds on six or seven players. Did that mean expenditure of £12 million? No no, not each, for the whole bloody lot!
Meanwhile the pubs of Highbury filled with celebrating Arsenal fans, and small time businessmen drowning their sorrows.
Who say you can’t get justice in English court. It’s the best money can buy.
