Sometimes I can't get my head round the kidology that JM dishes out especially the 'ologies' that JM spoke about this week during the build-up to Chelsea's comfortable win over Man City at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

Lack of preparation time due to the midweek internationals, lack of preparation time and continuity due to the different times of returning players from World Cup 2006 and only fifteen fit players to select a team from.

The team that started yesterday was full of attacking intentions. Wright-Phillips, Robben, Shevchenko, Drogba and Essien who ran for a full ninety-minutes, attacking and defending. Ballack failed to shake of his hip injury and sat out yesterday's win, but he is expected to be fit for the midweek game at Middlesbrough.

If this is how Chelsea will play when they are short of physical fitness and conditioning and I dread to think what they will be like when 'everything' finally slots into place. It wasn't that City were bad, Chelsea were that good!!

I fancied a bet that 'The Shev' would score the first goal, but I am relieved that the bet wasn't placed as it was John Terry who glanced a header past Nicky Weaver from an Arjen Robben free-kick after eleven minutes. Super Frank scored Chelsea's second after fine build-up work from Essien, scoring with a low shot from twenty yards that took a deflection.

Chelsea's third came from a diving Drogba header after good build-up down the left and a fizzing low Wayne Bridge cross from just inside the area, ten minutes from time.

Arjen Robben and Shaun Wright-Phillips did their jobs in defence as well as attacking, The Shev always had two or three yellow City shirts around him which left 'The Dids' to roam and fight for the ball with ease on every Chelsea attack.

City's debutant striker Bernando Corradi was sent off after two assassin challengers, first on Ferreira and then the second on Essien. Essien was yellow carded for pulling Corradi up from the ground by his hair.

COME ON CHELSEA!
