Grant Troika Rant Kept us in Title Race

Grant, Clarke, Ten Cate

The proverbial hair dryer treatment from the Chelsea troika of Grant, Ten Cate and Steve Clarke during half-time at Eastlands ensured there were no slip ups after taking the lead against Man City this weekend. John Terry has revealed the team received a bol*o*king and a half which inspired the team to maintain tempo and grab the 3 points.

"In the first half we should have finished the game off and we came in at half-time and got an absolute b********g by the manager, Steve Clarke and Henk Ten Cate. They all said their piece and rightly so.

"The tempo was too slow and lackadaisical and we should have had the game won before we did in the end. The manager was worried that we had taken early leads against Sunderland, Middlesbrough, and Fenerbahce and didn't build on it.

"That's why they did the talk they did because they thought we were going to throw it away again. The second half was much better and we sharpened up a little bit. The second goal killed the game off."

Joe Cole SPURS

Terry is not the first to give Grant credit - Joe Cole also did so during a pre-recorded interview before a recent game.

I’m no Grant fan – I don’t believe he’s up to the job but in the interests of fairness I will (admittedly, grudgingly) write up for the other side as and when the situation arises.

“Troika” is a word recently put forward by another Chelsea fan which I think very accurately describes the current football management system at Stamford Bridge.  “Troika” describes a three wheeled mechanism where the wheels are different sizes but interlock and therefore operate as one unit – Grant is the biggest wheel as we suppose he has the most power whilst Ten Cate and Steve Clarke would be smaller (I’d like to think Clarke has more influence and is a slightly bigger wheel than Ten Cate but who knows).

The Premier League title and the European Cup (which we need on our CV) are uncertain, but it does seem as if Grant, Clarke and Ten Cate won’t let our squad relax too much during this crucial run in during the end of the season.

Grant laughs too!!!

The w****r Barnett pointed out to Grant that Chelsea has the longest unbeaten Premiership run (16 games, our last defeat was against Arsenal) and Grant started laughing heartily and said to the w****r you always give me stats and laughed again!!
