Didier Charged by the FA + Burnley Cowards

As expected Didier Drogba has been charged this afternoon by the FA for 'violent conduct' after his coin throwing antics on Wednesday night when Chelsea fell out of the Carling Cup against Burnley. What makes this charge now even more appalling is that referee Keith Stroud booked Dids for 'celebrating in front of Burnley fans' and NOT for Dids throwing the coin back into the Burnley fans.
Keith Stroud has admitted that he didn't see the 'finger' sign and he didn't see Dids thow the coin back. So now on Stroud's admission, the FA have charged Dids with 'trial by TV.' Can't believe the ref - he should be going to Specsavers!! I must admit I didn't see what went on till I got home and watched the news in the 'wee' small hours, because I was seated at the other end of the ground in the Matthew Harding Lower. What makes Didier's position more precarious is that his actions are now being investigated by the Police after a 'member of the Burnley public made a complaint." See for proof: http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2127793674 OK someone got hurt and if this person got hurt because of Dids actions then on behalf of Chelsea FC and Chelsea fans, please accept this apology. Now let's come to the 'cowards' that support Burnley Football Club. The following link is proof that Didier, Malouda were subject to racism and even Super Frank was subjected to abuse about his late mother. Don't get me wrong I am not targeting ALL Burnley fans with the same brush, because our message board has had some top quality banter with Burnley fans since the Carling Cup draw was made, what I am saying is that when you click on the link below, why does it appear that not ONE Burnley fan reported the alleged 'racist' comments to the nearest steward? Cowards! http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2127802692
I think there are a number of points to consider.
(1) Jamie Carragher recived punishment for throwing a coin back into the section of morons who threw it at him - he was not charged by the FA but it looks as if Drogba is even though he only received a yellow.
(2) The Carragher ban was 3 matches and a fine of 40 grand - what´s the betting that the good ol FA Chelsea Tax comes in and we receive much greater punishment?
(3) Drogba was subjected to racist abuse - the club should put this to the FA in some form of mitigation and every effort should be made to ban the cowards who threw the coins at Drogba and causing a stain on a great cup tie (from Burnley´s point of view) and also on the majority of Burnley fans who were there to have a good time.
(4) If the FA do little or nothing to punish the violent fans and the racial abuse then they will be sending out a message to some sections of football fans which says that you can throw coins, wind a player up and racially abuse him if you like - we won´t do anything to make you pay for your crimes.

I fully expect burnley to get a fine from the FA for the behaviour of there "fans". also any fans found guilty either by cctv or fingerprints from the coins will be banned for life

I´m also wondering if they did anything against the Arsenal fans re Carragher or the West Ham fans re Le Saux???

You are right about the stewards. Thats why they are there.
But you should see our stewards!!

The stewards especially at the MHL end are all sit down men and women in other words they tell you to sit down.
All nite in The Shed, Burnley were standing up and if the stewards at The Shed End are the same as they are down the MHL - you can blow em over with a puff of wind!!!
They aint nothing like what you get at a pub or club nowadays

It is a real pity after what was for me one of my top 3 games of my time as a Burnley supporter and I have been watching them since 1959 that there is so much controversy surrounding the Drogba incident. Drogba was wrong in what he did, our few fans were wrong in what they did, coin throwing, racial abuse, chants at Frank or whatever else went on are all out of order and totally unnacceptable, and as a longstanding Burnley fan I sincerely apologise for the moronic behaviour of a hand full of Burnley fans.
I was in the lower tier on the 12th row roughly in line with the goalpost nearest your West stand, I was with my son and two grandsons(6 and 10), our experience of the whole evenings events was nothing more than superb, from the stewards, to the police, to the programme sellers,to the boys and girls that served in the kiosks, to the Chelsea fans I sopke to on the tube away from and on the way to the ground, all of them friendly and with a great attitude to their jobs.
I can honestly say hand on heart that I did not hear any racial abuse near me at all, the worst thing we had to witness were a couple of our own brainless fans who started to fight amongst themselves, but it was over no sooner than it had started. We stood all game, not by choice I can tell you but by necessity, you couldn't see if you didn't, not once did any steward ask anyone to sit down, in fact during the game I cannot recall the presence of a steward at all, apart from the ones that were sat down near the pitch after half time.
We all have a few mindless supporters, luckily they are in the minority, so the majority of us do actually enjoy our match experiences. Unfortunately this saga is going to run for a little while longer yet, everyone that played their part in this nonsense deserves everything that comes in the way of punishment, but I will not let it spoil what was for me a fantastic experience, one which will live in my memory for some years to come, god willing, and these days I can tell you we don't get many games to remember.

Absolutely top post mate!
And as we have said elsewhere, there is no way we tar Burnley fans with the same brush - many of you seem to be great people.
The rivalry, banter and soemtimes unsavoury abuse is all part and parcel of watching football but we should draw the line at physically abusing the players and racism.

also why did the numerous stewards at the game not eject people for racist taunts? that is what there are there for, they have legal rights to get the people arrested
legal rights to get people arrested,,
not sure what that means,b ut they only have the right to eject people or get on there talking brochues to get the police in,,
as for racsit taunts,,,as pointed out before and anyone there will tell you,,shouting you are only a sht akinbye is not racist, and did anyone notice the colour of burnley player who scored,,,got to be stupid anyone shouting at one player and not another,,and IF they did im sure fans around them would of pointed this out,,,,
finger print on coins, now i heard it all
dam shame that this is taking away from burnley one of there greatest results in recent times, due to one idiot,,
well its through its a 3 match ban,,,,
and just one other thing,i would like your thoughts on,,,the fan will when caught be banned from football for life,,drogba did the same thing the fan did and will still be doing what he loves on over inflated wages in 3 weeks,,,bit of injustice there i think,,,but only my oppinion guys

And Burnley somewhere do have 'racist fans'

Well according to 2 different Burnley boards there were monkey noises being made. The fact that Burnley also have a coloured player doesn´t excuse the racism - it just makes them look stupid.
It wasn´t just one coin either was it? According to your own fans there were plenty of one pound coins being thrown at him and according to Lampard there were loads on the pitch.
I completely agree re spoiling the day for Burnley fans - but that´s always the case when there is a minority who are silly.
As we have said before, the perception we have of your lot is that if anything, they seem quite humble, great sense of humour and decent people.
Re Drogba getting a life-ban for football because if any are caught that threw coins would do well...all I could say is that Drogba was in a situation where he was trying to get on woth his job and received extreme provocation - he´s not paid to throw a coin but he´s not paid to receive racist abuse and get showered with coins is he?
In any case, we don´t blame you stripy - seing as you may have been in Fulham nick at the time!

it had been me,im far to tight to throw a quid even 5p to much,,,
as for monkey chants i dint here them, but if they did it,it just shows how moronic they are when both teams have coloured lads,,,
as for loads of pound coins, just think about this for a moment, our keeper and best part of hundred stewards were near drogba and no one else seen anything to warrant the words loads,,,in not saying there werent dixon,,just thought evenour keep would come out and say something if there were,,,hopefully my mates in kensington nick will get the culprit(s) instead of picking on inocent drunken bystanders

Kensington nick? Well at least it was a posh one and not just any old station!

Funny you should say that! The FA are due to make a decision on "The Battle of Stamford Bridge" any day now.
