Back in October, 'Anco' raised his glass & toasted Joe Cole a 'genius' after Chelsea routed Rovers 5-0 at The Bridge. For me, something has definitely happened in their relationship since then as Joey was left shivering on the bench at a rain-soaked Ewood Park yesterday as Chelsea threw away a great opportunity (another one!!) to hang on to the ManUre coat-tails at the top of the Premiership.
With Ballack ruled out through injury 'Anco' had the perfect opportunity to bring in Joey as part of his three pronged attack. But 'Anco' didn't. 'Anco' opted for Kalou who spends more time out of the game then in it, although Kalou didn't have a bad first-half.
In fact Chelsea didn't have a bad first-half. An early goal on five minutes when Didier stroked home from an Anelka cross, Chelsea dominated all the possession and threatened to repeat the Stamford Bridge scoreline.
Chelsea were suckered into a false sense of Blackburn insecurity. The second half began as the first half ended, but slowly and surely Blackburn came more into the game and threatened to score a deserved equaliser.
Our Merry band of millionaires struggled to get past the man mountain Samba and debutant centre-back Jones and our boss either sat or stood in his technical area completely quiet unlike his animated counterpart in Sam Allardyce.
'Anco' bemoaned the result when he said after the game, "We lost composure and we are in a difficult moment."
Its hardly surprising we are 'in a difficult moment' when players look over to the bench for help and guidance and they see the boss with a face that has been stung by a thousand bees.
'Anco' is completely inanimate and without emotion and after the recent Corrupt Cup exit and Mr A's visit to Cobham you would have thought the pep-talk or the poverbial 'kick up the a**e' would have done the trick, but sadly it didn't.
Blackburn equalised through Diouf and then Chelsea picked up in the last ten minutes, rather too late for me and for the brilliant band of travelling fans.
Deco came on for Kalou (what no Joe Cole?) and with fifteen seconds before the start of stoppage time, Sturridge came on for Anelka???????
At this rate, our Academy and Ladies teams have a better chance of bringing silverware to the club for a fraction of the cost of our Merry Band of Millionaires... our season is slowly draining away down the plug hole.

It is all down to the players and a bit of daring and quick thinking by Anco. I´m usually optimistic - but even my natural optimism is taking a bashing.
Some say this team is dead now - not dead BUT definitely needs refreshing in the summer.
One last push!
