I am not going to dignify the decision by the FA to charge JT, Captain, Leader, Legend after the incident last October at QPR with a certain Mr A Ferdinand, particularly as a court of law found JT, Captain, Leader, Legend NOT guilty, except the say the FA have moved the goalposts and have rewritten the dictionary meaning of the word Racism!!
Tonight the Blues are in CSI and Horatio country to play AC Milan at the Sun Life stadium in Miami in the last game of their U.S tour and Chelsea will be looking to bounce back from the defeat by the MLS All-Stars in Philadelphia earlier on in the week.
The game kicks-off at 11.30pm (UK time) and there will be live updates on the message board below.
This is Chelsea’s penultimate game before the Blues travel to Villa Park in two weeks to play the Champions Money Citeh in the Community Shield and it will be interesting to see if Bobby Di starts to lay the foundation of that starting XI this evening.
One player raring to go is Fernando Torres who joined up with the squad later after his all conquering Euro 2012 campaign.
Torres said, “It was an amazing summer for us, especially for Juan Mata and me who won the Champions League with the team and then were with the Spanish team and won in Europe, which means everything.
“We know we have big expectations this season, there are a lot of trophies to win and we are ready for the challenge. I am sure it is going to be a good season.”
Torres has is hoping that he will feature tonight saying, “The last game in Philadelphia was too early for me and I am sure I will have some minutes in Miami. The first game is difficult to find your legs but I am looking forward to it, to play against a great team who is also ready for a great season.”
I hope Torres starts and gets at least 60 minutes as I think the boy beast, Lukaku, is completely out of his depth, despite his two goals against Seattle in the opening game of the tour.
