Stoke City Preview: Not Evil, Just Cowards

Chelsea return to league action at The Bridge for the first time in a month since the 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, when Tony Pullis’ difficult Stoke City side come visiting. A win will put the Blues four points clear at the top of the infant league table, prior to the big clashes on Sunday.
The build-up to the game has been marred by the tasteless, vile, evil social networking messages directed at Obi Mikel after his unfortunate error against Juventus on Wednesday night, causing Obi to shut down his networking account, although Chelsea have said ‘he was going to do it anyway and hasn’t seen any of the remarks.’
But someone has seen them because the matter has been reported to the authorities and Chelsea are working with the authorities to try and bring the culprits to justice.
Too much of a co-incidence for my liking.
As for the mindless scum that resort to ‘trolling?’
They aren’t evil.
They are cowards, Cowards who hide away behind their PC screens spouting their vile, getting off on making others miserable.
These are not supporters. They really couldn’t care-less about the club, the team and the sooner they retreat back into their hovels or get justice served, the world may become a little better place to live.
Mikel wasn’t the only fault on Wednesday.
The whole team were, from the moment Juventus scored their first.
The writing was on the wall that Juve would score again and so it proved and the night would have been completely turned on its head (and the hacks would have had an absolute field day) had Juve not hit the bar in the dying minutes.
Oscar is fit and available for selection after his stunning two goal salvo whereas Marin is ‘not ready’ and Danny Sturridge is still struggling with a tight hamstring, which again heaps more pressure on Torres and Chelsea do not have a ‘Plan B.’
Bobby Di doesn’t seem to be too concerned about the lack of striking options.
He said, “We don’t want to put pressure on one player to score all the goals, it’s the same as it was last season, we need to spread the goals around,
“We’ve signed a different type of player. Mata scored many goals last season. Hazard has scored, Oscar scored two on Wednesday and Lamps also scores, so we certainly have goals in the team.”
Last season was last season and this is this season. Time will tell Bobby Di, time will tell.

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if Di Matteo has the intention of eventually playing with attacking midfielders as strikers - we have enough of them.
