Man City Preview: Pep to Snub Abramovich?!?

It really has been a terrible week to be a Chelsea fan (plastic or not). Screaming, raging negative headlines to fuel the rabid ravaging snarling dogs of the press and media. They have had a right old week which began with defeat at WBA, followed by defeat in Turin, the sacking of Chelsea legend Roberto Di Matteo, the appointment on an interim basis of Benitez, then to finish the week off, Clutterbuck is cleared by the FA and Mikel is charged by the same.

News is circulating this morning that Abramovich target Pep Guardiola is considering NOT taking the Chelsea job should he be offered it, citing that Abramovich is too ‘trigger-happy.’

Sources close to Guardiola say that he wants ‘stability but the events of the past few days shows again that Chelsea are not a club that offer a manager time to build anything.’

(But the pay-off is good….. Ed)

“Roman Abramovich has been trigger-happy with managers at the best of times, and that’s not a plus for Pep,” continued the source.

To cement Guardiola’s feelings, the source added, “He’ll listen to what anyone has to say but at this stage as far as English clubs are concerned, he’s more impressed with the stability shown by both Manchester clubs than anything he’s seen at Chelsea.”

I am without hope and without expectation for the rest of the season or for the time the Benitez is in the hot seat.

I do not support the owner, I do not support the board. As far as I am concerned Di Matteo’s sacking is one sacking too many and too quickly and everything Di Matteo achieved last season has been tarnished and besmirched.

I WILL not support Benitez, in fact I will go as far as saying, I really DO NOT want to go to The Bridge whilst he is in charge, but the team in transition within transition need ALL the support that Chelsea fans give, starting today against the Champions.
