Forget the crab football, forget side, back, forward, side. Just get it up there, get the goals and Wemberleeeee here we come. Simple really isn’t it? On paper yes, but this is Chelsea. A club that never does things the easy way. The Portly One has to be positive. The Portly One simply has to start Demba in front of Torres and play him the Drogba way and get Super Frank up there as an attacking midfielder.
I can predict the way this game is going to pan out.
Chelsea will concede early, battle back to force extra-time and Ivanovic will either score the winner OR the winning penalty when the scores are tied at 4-4, or 5-5.
Ivanovic redemption thank you very much.
I have backed Torres every game since he signed two years ago, but, with all the problems he has had playing in the Blue shirt, beginning with playing second fiddle to Didier, then being told he is the main man, he cannot score goals if he doesn’t get the service.
Torres is a footballing striker. He needs balls played to his feet.
He doesn’t have to, need to track back to get the ball, he needs his ‘mates’ (lol) to give him the ball. I find that Chelsea are happy to pass to Torres outside the final third, but once he crosses that imaginary line, Chelsea become a ten man team and the likes of Mata, Hazard, Oscar and the rest play ‘it’s time to pass the ball around Torres.’
Tonight, the night is made for Demba Ba and for ‘Captain, Leader, Legend,’ ‘One England Captain’ JT to return regardless of the state of his fitness.
Chelsea will need all the leadership they can get and there is no better man for the job than JT.
