Brentford Preview: JT and Fatty Bust-Up

I haven’t subscribed to the reasons given by fatty as to why he hasn’t or will not play JT our ‘Captain, Leader, Legend, One England Captain’ because he is not fit and can’t get fit and the ‘vicious circle’ debate. I personally think that fatty has an issue with JT which goes back to the days fatty’s reign at Anfield.

This morning the papers are rife that JT and fatty had a huge bust-up in the dressing room in front of all and sundry after Chelsea’s recent 3-2 defeat (grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory) at Newcastle.

A Chelsea source has been quoted as saying, “Benitez blamed JT for two of the goals. He blamed him for losing Gutierrez for United’s first goal and for diving in without winning the ball in the build-up to their second.

“The manager (is that what he is called?) was furious after losing in the last minute and made it clear he wasn’t happy with John’s performance.

“He also reckoned that John wasn’t fit enough after three months out of action.

“JT wasn’t happy about the criticism and had a go back at the boss in front of all the other players in the dressing room. Everyone was stunned by the way the manager singled out JT. It was not the way he is usually spoken to at Chelsea.”

Read into the above as you will, there is evidence to suggest that perhaps I might be right.

All eyes will be on fatty when he announces his team to face Brentford later on this morning.
