108 years ago today in The Rising Sun pub in the Fulham Road (now called The Butchers Hook), Chelsea Football Club was born. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA! By the quirk of the footballing calendar on this day, Chelsea (2012 FA Cup winners) travel to Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup to play a wounded United, still suffering their Champions League exit to Real Madrid on Tuesday night.

It is Fatty’s first visit to Old Trafford since he beat Utd, 4-1 with Liverpool so if you are looking for a miracle today, you can hold on to that little snippet and if Utd turn out ‘Evertonesque’ then Chelsea have a great chance. Just ask Roberto Martinez and his Wigan boys (snigger)

Rumours abound that, Fatty is considering dropping ‘Captain, Leader, Legend, One England Captain’ JT AGAIN as he continues to manage (ha) and rotate players, which means Luiz could partner either Ivanovic or Cahill in central defence. (Shudder)

Demba Ba, Victor Moses should feature after they were left behind for the trip to Bucharest while Ashley Cole and Ramires could return after being benched for the same trip.

Chelsea have suffered THIRTEEN defeats in all competitions and the season still has two months to run and May simply cannot come quick enough.

Thirteen defeats is a staggering statistic, not seen since the days of Glenn Hoddle – 25% of all fixtures have ended in defeat and I fear another defeat today to be honest with you and quite possibly by a few goals too.

The teams have already met twice this season – two games, loads of goals (14) and red cards to boot.

I don’t expect anything different today and I hope fatty and the players respect that 6,000 Blue boys and girls will give 100% support in what could be a thankless task.

At least they have every chance of outsinging the Red and White plastics.
