Get Your Views Heard

My good friends at CFCUK and BlueandWhiteArmy.net (they have a stall on ALL matchdays opposite Fulham Broadway Station), have started/are running a petition to get Chelsea to demolish the Hotel complex at The Bridge so that the capacity of the ground can be increased to 60,000.

Our owner RA has expressed concern about the atmosphere on most matchdays at The Bridge, or rather the lack of it.

If you didn't know, CFCUK and BlueandWhiteArmy.Net were instrumental in getting the club badge changed and redesign retro fashion, around the old Earl of Cadogan Lion.

CFCUK also has a representative that sits on the fans forum, which incidently had its 2nd meeting prior to the Bolton game kicking off.

The petition which has already gained several thousand signatures states thus:

Dear Roman

Thank you for reinstating a decent Club Badge. We know you are concerned about the atmoshpere at Stamford Bridge but, if you knocked down the hotel and built us a 60,000 capacity stadium with 30,000 seats at £20 with £10 seats for minors, you would have the support that befits the greatest club side in Europe. PLEASE...... BUILD US A GROUND.

I for one have already signed this petition.

I believe that the majority of the support seen at Chelsea simply do not know how to support. These so-called supporters dont know the songs, dont know the history, just dont know nothing.

I was fortunate to get a season ticket. However I am not fortunate to be 'well off' enough to attend all the other matches especially at the Bridge. Definitely away games are out of the question. As hard as I will try, whether I renew my season ticket for next season remains to be seen purely for financial reasons. It was a struggle this time round to raise the money for two season tickets.

Chelsea is an expensive club to support and follow. I support any action by anybody to help those that have been and will continue to be priced out of watching their heroes play, each and every week.
