PSG Hold Chelsea at The Bridge

......well most of the possession throughout the whole game, Chelsea just could not break down a Paris defence that looked scared like startled rabbits in front of a car's headlights on full beam, rather than a team that had come fully prepared to take a point from the runaway leaders of Group H.

It was only the introduction of the Duffman at the start of the second half, that Chelsea started to show purpose and endeavour to break down the rabbits in their warrens. But when you have already qualified as winners to the next stage of the competition as group winners, how hard do you really want to play and try. At the least you want to do everything not to lose. In front of a near capacity Stamford Bridge, for a nothing game from Chelsea's point of view, a BIG up to all Chelsea fans who proved tomight that they do want and want to support BIG time football at The Bridge.

0-0 suggests that the game was boring. In some parts it was, PSG could have made it a little bit more difficult for Chelsea than they really did, but having said that I have seen worse 0-0's then this one.

The moment that I and every other Chelsea fan had been waiting for came in the 60th minute, when the Did came on for his first appearance in ten weeks. But it wasn't until nine minutes from time that Didi had his chance to make a welcome return, when from a sublime reverse pass from Eidersson, Didi took control and shot straight at the keeper. Shame but what do you expect after being out for such a long time. Had he got another chance, he would have buried it. I wouldn't be surprised though if Didi started on Saturday at our bogey club Charlton

In Chelsea's defence, JM did make seven changes from the side that played against Bolton. In came King Carlo, Johnson, Parker, Kezman, J Cole, Bridge and Smertin, not that I am offering the changes as an excuse but with so many changes and not getting beaten against a team that had more to lose, tonight was probably not a bad result.

At least we didn't have TWO players sent off, like 'The Arse' did at PSV tonight. LOL
