Is the Premiership trophy beginning its journey from the home of the reigning champions in North London to the home of the potential champions in West London?

It was always going to be a difficult game at 'Three Point Lane' and so it proved. Tottenham are no doubt a better team under the guidance of Martin Jol and they were not going to roll over in front of the home fans to an even more in-form Chelsea. A Chelsea team that has won their last five Premiership games without conceding a goal.

The game itself was full of attacking football, neither team was going to 'park the bus in the penalty area' and the game was never going to be a dour, dull affair as it was at Stamford Bridge where the 'Bus' statement was born. Although the game didn't create many clear cut chances, both goalkeepers had enough to do, to keep their concentrations in place. Cech saved smartly from Defoe and Robinson thwarted the efforts of Duff from really the only clear cut chances in the first half.

Chelsea's first goal came from a penalty where Tottenham's captain, Ledley King caught Smertin who came in from the blind side trying to accept a pass from Duff who had done very well keeping the ball in play on Chelsea's right after a fine diagonal pass from Super Frank. Super Frank stepped up and coolly blasted the ball into the right hand side of the net despite Robinson's despairing dive. The goal six minutes from half time put Chelsea into a commanding position. A position where they were able to dictate play during the course of the second half.

The second goal came deep into injury time. Where four minutes came from, no-one knows, but four minutes it was. Eider Gudjohnsen conceded a throw-in deep in Tottenham's half. The ball found itself at Joey Cole's feet, Cole then played a delightful chip to Eider who took on the pass and dribbled deep into Tottenham's penalty area before cutting it back, the ball missed Joey Cole but found the right foot of Super Frank who drilled the ball right into the bottom of Tottenham's net.

2-0 Game, set and match. Chelsea's hold on Tottenham now stands at fifteen years and thirty games since Tottenham last beat the boys in blue in the League of which nineteen games were victories and eleven ending in draws.

Incidentally, Frank's penalty today was the first penalty that Chelsea have been awarded away from home in three years. The last - came against Tottenham in 2002 when we beat them AGAIN at 'Three Point Lane' 3-2 with the great Marcel Desailly getting a last minute winner.

The title MUST now be Chelsea's to lose. Is there any team in the Premiership that can beat Chelsea, let alone catch them? Ten points clear of Arsenal and eleven points clear of Man Utd.
