Secondly. Reports suggest the Arjen Robben, Chelsea's undoubtedly most important/influential player has broken his ankle. Its the same injury that caused Robben to miss the first three months of the season after being crudely hacked by Olivier Dacourt of Roma in a pre-season friendly. This time the culprit was Blackburn's South African nobody, Mokwema. If the news is confirmed then it will almost certainly mean that Rocking Robben will MISS the rest of the season and his absence will certainly upset Chelsea's rhythm and charge to glory on FOUR trophy fronts.

If the news today was bad enough, the day certainly didn't improve for the men in Blue as they were held to a disappointing and frustrating draw by Man City at Stamford Bridge this afternoon. You will remember that is was Man City who have so far become the only team to beat Chelsea in the Premiership and today, to be fair, didn't park any buses in their penalty area, came to Stamford Bridge with a game plan that allowed them to frustrate Chelsea but also give opportunity to win the game for themselves.

And win the game City nearly did. City have already put in performances at Highbury and Old Trafford to gain creditable draws, but just minutes from half-time, Robbie Fowler playing up front on his own, blazed a header wide of the post when in reality it looked simpler to score.

Chelsea looked lucklustre. Without the influence of Robben, Chelsea struggled and looked bereft of ideas. Kezman getting long awaited Premiership start, looked like he didn't know what to do, a man lacking in confidence and perhaps wishing he was back in the Dutch League where he was scoring goals for fun. Is the Premiership looking to much for him? It wasn't until the last seven to eight minutes of the first half, that David James (the worst goalkeeper ever to pull on an England jersey was called into action) and he didn't let his team mates down, saving from Lampard, Gudjohnsen and clearing of the line from a Gallas bullet header.

The second half was no different. Chelsea huffed and puffed. City fought and thwarted and were still able to create the odd chance of their own. One in particular saw Cech having to receive treatment after what appeared getting Fowler's boot in his face.

Right into the depths of injury time which was an amazing five minutes. Chelsea thought that they had won it. Lampard on the volley, a shot with so much pace looked goal bound, before James (the worst goalkeeper ever to pull on an England jersey) saved the effort with a flying one-handed save. By the way his teamates surrounded him, they were thankful for his efforts.

So yet again, Chelsea were starved and thwarted by a City side who seem to only raise their game for the big teams. City have and will probably become the only team this season to have taken four points off a high flying, high riding Chelsea side. But with Chelsea dropping two VIP (very important points) the gap at the top has closed to nine points in front of Man U and eleven points in front of Arsenal.

If the powers to be decide that Chelsea are guilty of the 'alleged' reports and go for the points deduction - then the Premiership Championship race will be blown wide open.

Chelsea are now away from home for the next five matches. Fortunately ONLY two of them are IMPORTANT League games.

Congratulations to Glenn Johnson, Wayne Bridge, Joey Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard who have been called up into the England squad for Wednesday's

(no need, not much, waste of time) friendly International against Holland at Villa Park. A game which has no meaning, no sense. And it is the FA that complain that our players play too many games. ROFLMAO!

And then by the powers that be, Sky TV that is, have scheduled Chelsea to kick off at Everton on Saturday at 12.45pm when Man U don't play till Sunday and Arsenal don't play till Monday.
