The Reserves resume their Barclays Reserve League programme with a tough trip to The Valley to play the Reserve League Champions, Charlton Athletic. Back in October 2005 Charlton inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Chelsea at Aldershot.
There will be live coverage on the message board from 7pm. Charlton are renound in mixing their reserve team with first team regulars and you can expect the likes of Kiely, Perry, Lisbie, Euell, Thomas and Boothroyd to feature. Chelsea Team Lenny Pidgeley, Chelsea will be looking to build on their derby win over Fulham last week, winning 2-1 with two goals in the last ten minutes from Phil Younghusband and Jimmy Smith. Young Jimmy Smith signed a new contract last week and was told that he would be in the first team squad for the cup-tie against Huddersfield on Saturday. Unfortunately for Jimmy he injured his foot in training on Friday and was ruled out. Hopefully he has recovered and can take his frustration out on Charlton tonight.
