Jose rung the changes again. Many changes from the side that started in the defeat at Blackburn last Tuesday night.

In fact with defeat at the 'Toon' yesterday, its the first time that JM has received back to back League defeats since his tenure began two years agon in charge of Chelsea Football Club.

mmmmm As good as a record as being the FIRST Chelsea Manager to win BACK to BACK Premiership titles. Now of the two, what do you think means the most to me?????

Well certainly not two defeats - the first at Blackburn who qualified for the UEFA Cup and secondly Newcastle who QUALIFIED for the Intertoto Cup... and they say the Monday's NEW Lottery draw is ALL about charity. (mmmmm where's Chelsea's registered charity number again???).

Toon's only goal came from an unlikely source in Titus Bramble from a second half corner. Probably the Toon's only forary into the Chelsea half except into deep injury time, when replacement goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley pulled off a fantastic double save.

Prior to that. The first half was the Toon's. The second-half was Chelsea's. Maniche hit the post, Chelsea had TWO goals disallowed and that my friends is about the lot.

Stephen Carr, voted the Toon's Man of the Match was sent off. Chelsea's Carvalho ended up with fourteen stitches after a clash of heads with Boumsoung and Carlo (The Second Best Keeper in the Premiership) who was due to be Captain for the day, ended up getting himself injured during the warm-up. Hence the mention of Lenny Pidgeley.

WIth the 'Gormless One' World Cup selections out today - Well forget the World Cup and roll on 2006/07 season.

COME ON THE CHELS!! TIME FOR A TREBLE!!
