Moore Believes Posh Defeat was Harsh

Ronnie Moore insisted that his Rovers side didn't deserve to lose to Peterborough on Tuesday night to exit the FA Cup at the second round stage and once again at the hands of Peterborough - the fourth time in recent history that Posh have knocked Rovers out of the Cup.
Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore today spoke about his disappointment at being eliminated from the FA Cup thanks to a last minute equaliser from Peterborough's £5 million rated striker Aaron McLean.
Moore thought his side were hard done by and believes his side were worthy of a penalty shoot out.
Moore spoke about his heartbreak to the Official Rovers Website:
"Our two centre-halves went for the same ball and it broke for them to get the equaliser. It was so frustrating when we were seconds away from winning the tie."
"The winning goal was a fluke. The lad just stretched out his foot, the ball hit him and flew into the corner of the net. There's nothing we could have done about that. I think we deserved something out of the game tonight, in fact I think the fairest outcome for both teams would have been if it went to penalties."
"I know Peterborough hit the woodwork three times in the second half but Chris Shuker also hit the woodwork for us and had a chance to settle it with a second goal shortly before the end of normal time."
"We've got to get out the habit of defending too deep and try to be brave by pushing up."
Moore also admitted his disappointment of missing out financially but had optimism for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy were Rovers are in the semi final of the Northern Section.......
"Getting through to the third round and a game at West Brom would have given us a lift financially but we are still in the Northern semi-final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy."
Meanwhile Peterborough United Boss Darren Ferguson was full of praise for his troops who battled it out right till the end at Prenton Park.....
"This team just don't know when they are beaten. They kept going, they never gave up and showed great character and determination. I think on the night we deserved to progress, we hit the woodwork four times and I think after they scored, we dominated for long spells."
"It took us a while to get going, but the lads felt the goal that Tranmere scored was a foul when the ball was in mid-flight, but thankfully we don't have to worry about that too much now."
"There were some great performances out there and I thought Dean Keates was outstanding. He worked his socks off and before the game he was a doubt, so it is even more impressive."
'We were without our two regular full-backs for the game due to injury, but Daniel Blanchett and Charlie Lee performed admirably at the back for us. It was great to see Aaron McLean back on the score-sheet and he deserved it for his display."
Ferguson also spoke of his excitement at netting Premier League opposition in the third round.....
"We have a tie at Premier League side West Bromwich Albion to look forward to and we know what to expect having played them twice last season. Hopefully we can go there and give a better account of ourselves and who knows what could happen"
Fair enough comments from Ferguson again I would say although he doesn't mention of course that over the two legs it was fairly even between the sides!

Overall though over the two legs who do you feel should of went through?
I think penalty's would of been fair.
