Latest Rovers Issue Fanzine Now on Sale

The latest issue of the Rovers Fanzine ‘Give Us An R’ is now on sale and as ever Total Tranmere is the only Rovers Site to bring you a detailed look at why the Fanzine is once again well worth a read. The usual features are again joined by some new material making it once again worth the £2.00 cost......

It doesn't seem like long ago that Total Tranmere were bringing you the a review of the previous edition of the Rovers Fanzine ‘Give Us An R' but once again Dave has been hard at work on another edition (Issue 58) which went on sale for the first time before Tranmere's 1-0 home win over Brentford on Saturday.
The Fanzine always has an element of humour to it but this particular issue seems to have more funny bits than ever including a satirical look at potential Manager's of the Club who like Ronnie Moore and Ray Mathias have the initials RM and range from a pop singer to a couple of movie stars. To add to the humour, the colour front cover of this issue features a picture of Chris Shuker and a linesman with a speech bubble captain for each of them having an imaginary conversation.
This edition features the usual contributions from the Doctor, The Paddock Man and Total Tranmere's own Deadly Submarine and in honour of Total Tranmere's recent fifth birthday celebrations, there is an extra section written by Sub about the history of the site and his plans for the future.
There are the usual reports on recent away trips which this month take in the visits to Hartlepool, Norwich and the two trips to Leyton Orient in both League and Cup during November as well as the usual Anorak Quiz which gives five obscure views of away Grounds visited by Rovers fans and asks you to try and name which Grounds they are (answers in the following issue).

The Humorous Cover of Issue 58 of 'Give Us an R'
The ‘You Don't Have to be Mad - But it Helps' fan interview is a very interesting read and arguably the best one of the series so far with a female fan named only as ‘Kit' in the piece itself and with added snippets including a look at the greed of the Premier League and in particular John Terry and a quick snippet about Phil Gartside's awful plans for a two-tier Premier League this issue of ‘Give Us An R' is well worth a look.
At just £2.00, ‘Give Us An R' is a worthwhile purchase for any avid Rovers' Fan so if you have perhaps thought about buying it before but never got round to it, why not make this issue your first one?
We can highly recommend it as a publication written by fans for fans and with no connection in its content to the Club itself, giving views that you may not otherwise see in a matchday programme.
It can be bought at all Rovers home matches from Dave who positions himself on the left hand side of the road entrance to the Main Car Park at Prenton Park. He is usually positioned on the bit of waste ground on the opposite side of the entrance to the Mersey Clipper Pub (just under the Board which shows the next few matches that are due to be played at Prenton Park).
Dave is also at almost all Rovers away matches during the season, standing somewhere near the away turnstiles selling the Fanzine so there is plenty of chances to pick up your copy at the Aldershot and Southampton games before Christmas and at Oldham on Boxing Day so if you've never bought one before, why not give it a try.
